under load in all gears, when accelerating there is multiple stutters/missing until secondaries open. down shifting helps, but still present. what could it be?

Welcome to the "Home of the SHO." Is the CHECK ENGINE light illuminating? If so, you really would benefit from learning to read the diagnostic trouble codes from the engine control computer. It's trying to tell you what is wrong. See how to do it here and here.
If not, the probable cause of a spark misfire is usually in the secondary ignition system: the plug or wires. How old are they? What brand and type are they? Is there oil that leaked into the spark plug wells?

Welcome to the forum.. 
Well lets start here,
does it have factory plugs, plug wires, is there oil in your plug wells, have you had your 60k done?
