Hey SHO guys,
Im new to the SHOscene so hopefully someone will help with my problem. I just picked up my 95 ATX SHO from a family member with 86k on the ticker. It's had the 60k service done but the problem is it stalls in extreme heat situations from living in Las Vegas. I have run the engine code procedure and come up with zero, zilch, notta. I use the car for work and drive 50 to 100 miles a day (cool weather permitting) When it dies it takes 5 to 15 minutes to get restarted and then happens contually till it is cooled off enough to get her home only to roll my sorry a$$ out of the seat to the watering hole. I have disconnected the battery to reset the codes 2 times and still come up with no errors. Some other noticable problems are hard shifting into 2nd after restarting but goes away after 2 or 3 shift cycles, also I think I hear a vacuum leak and noticed today the gas tank or some related component venting out gas vapors after engine shut off infront of the passanger rear tire, Looked like a conduit for a fuel line. I have been doing alot of reading on the sites I have found what I have come up with is a possible Crank shaft position sensor or the MAF mod is bad, any other tips or checks would be much appriciated.
