Read the other 2 posts similar to my problem not sure which way to go. It's happened 3 times now in the past month. Wife drives the car, so didn't diagnose the problem untill she took the truck and left the car for me. All gauges read normal no loss of fuel pump. sitting at idle at a light and engine will stall. Can restart if you depress the pedal to get it off of the idle position. As soon as you drop back to idle it dies. pulled code 214 (cylinder ID circuit problem). I noticed you all mentioned the problem possibly being the CPS. Do you mean the crankshaft or camshaft position sensor? If you mean the crankshaftPS, Do I have to remove the whole front cover assy by the pulleys and balancer to replace. I see what I beleive to be the wire going into that cover just above the crank pulley. I also should mention that I cleaned the IAC. Wasn't very dirty and it didn't help.
Now, I also read about resetting the idle speed with the scanner. My wife drives with 2 feet therfore probably keeping her foot on the gas pedal just slightly. Can the computer interput that as a new idle position and therefore getting confused as to where the idle/slack position is for the TPS. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris
