I just purchased a 93 SHO and was thinking to go the safe route and do an engine rebuild the car has 139,100 miles on it and still runs strong but has a slight knock so im thinking to do it now to be safe before it gets worse and does any serious damage.. just curious how much it might cost.. i live in the surprise, az which is just west of phoenix.. anyone know of any good shops

you PM him.

Don't go up there without greenbacks though. In god tom trusts, all others pay cash.
you probably don't need a full rebuild though, just the rod bearings and the cam chain tensioners, a timing belt tensioner and a full 60K will probably do wonders to your car.

get ready to bend over and open up that wallet though, these cars aren't the cheapest things in the world, and most regular mechanics i've met in PHX have never even seen an SHO on their lift, and some of them have never even heard of an SHO.
