I washed my engine yesterday with water, and started it up and am now having some problems with it. When I accelerate, it sounds like a machine gun, but the noise appears to be air sounding. So I listened to the air being sucked in and it doesnt sound right! What could be wrong?!?! I pulled these engine codes:
211 (M) Ignition PIP signal was erratic or missing - Ignition Systems
542 (O,M) Fuel pump open, bad ground or always on - - Power / Fuel Pump Circuits
557 (O,M) Low speed pump relay primary circuit fault - Power / Fuel Pump Circuits
411 (R) Idle speed system not controlling idle properly (generally idle too high) – ISC
538 (R) System did not receive "goose" test

If anyone could help me I would be very thankful being this is my only car to get around in:(

SHO Engines + Lots of water in engine bay= SHOBOOM!

I hope you did not pressure wash your engine. You might have fried some of the electricals along the firewall.

The first thing I would do is check to see if there is water in the front spark plugg wells. If so spray it out with compressed air and do the same to the rear.

Try drying out the engine bay in the sun, check plug wells. If you have a compressor or compressed air use that in the back and reset the codes.

i know the problem is with a sensor or plug wires, does anybody know what it could be, it seems to miss when im in 5th gear and going 40 and gun the car! Any suggestions what sensor could do this, i dried the plugs in the front, the back i didnt get much or any water on them, just more the front. Taking the manifold takes about 20 minutes to get it off, if yall think i should check the back plug wells I can do that as well!

You probably have water in your spark plug wells, which likely shorted out your plug wires. You're going to have to take off your plug wires, and clean out all the spark plug wells. One method that worked well for me was to stick paper towels down in the wells, let 'em sit, and then yank em out.

The back ones got more in them when I washed the car with the old plug wires - Clean them out.
