I'm in the market for a device that I can connect to my OBD outlet to monitor motor and tranny temps, boost, oil pressure, etc..

Does anyone use or know of one to recommend for our cars?

Also, I averaged about 24mpg on a 70/30 hwy/city tank of gas and so far getting about 20mpg on this mostly city tank. Is that about on par with most folks? I saw some reviews that said the sho gets 30 on the hwy but I haven't seen it. (Dont get me wrong I'm impressed with what I'm getting now)

I use an ELM327 obd2 Bluetooth adapter and use the torque pro app for smartphones. It's a nice combo and a lot of people use it. It's a cheaper alternative that works great. There isn't a temp sensor on the SHO for the tranny (at least on my 2010, maybe newer ones do or pp package might have one) so that's not monitorable unless you get a gauge for it with a sensor.

24 average is good I'd say. If I do a long trip in the summer I might get 26-27 average (more of a 90/10 ratio highway/city) which is a lot higher than the advertised average of 19 combined. Can't complain there! You can get 30 mpg highway in perfect conditions driving 55-60 mph and premium gas with 95% highway and babying it (in my experience)

If you use Torque Pro, you can set up custom pids to get at various functions that Torque doesn't automatically detect. You can find more info on what has been figured out (including trans temp, thanks to ecoboostsho & others) over here:

If you decide to start monitoring a lot of parameters simultaneously, I'd suggest you move up to the OBDLink MX, as it will be far sturdier than generics in that application. I won't recommend the WiFi version at this point, though, kinks are still being worked out.
