Hey,
I know what that's like! I've had my fair share of bad luck too! Lost one job when the tranny died on my taurus (no transportation), so I bought my mustang! Lost my next job when my mustang's tranny died (no transportation)! So, I'm rebuilding my tranny! But, I haven't had a whole lot of time to get the tranny rebuilt, because I got a DUI (ya, a DUI in my friend's car! Apparently, the "not a drop" law applies to passengers too! So, I just got out of jail a couple weeks ago! Now, time to finish my Mustang's tranny, so I can find ANOTHER job! UGH! I kinda know how it feels man! That's why I've been tryin ta help you out so much! I know how it feels to have a car (or two/three in my case) sitting around, and you can't move any of them!!! I'll keep thinking about your problem though, and try and at least figure out why it might be doing that!!!

Hey,
My SHO is an auto, but I'm NEVER going to drop in another automatic. My mustang is a stick. So, I break both versions fairly!!! HAHA! Anyways, ya, I'm gonna drop in a stick into my SHO. Anywho, good luck! At least you have a car to drive right now (I'm not quite that lucky!!!)

You said that you unplugged the maf? And it still ran the same? If this is so I would say the maf is bad. I doubt it is a dead injector because I have never encountered one just dying.Check fuel pressure with a gauge or turn the key on and push the shraeder valve but be carefull not to spray fuel in your eyes!
If it sprays high its cool but if it just bubbles in the valve its bad. A bad fuel pump is usually indicated by poor acceleration or hard starts and sometimes it humms loud or not at all. A bad maf sensor is indicated bsdy bad fuel economy and poor acceleration. If your maf is bad it is possible that your computer will read a bad o2 sensor cause it will make the car run rich or lean.
A bad o2 sensor will be indicated by poor fuel economy but no major performance attributes. You can check the o2 easily with a torch and a volt meter. I dont remember the procedure but its not rocket science and knowledgeble staff at parts store could tell you.

What do you think i've been doing for 3 weeks nothing???
I have no pulses at the injectors guy. The MAF is good brand new from dealer 8 months ago. And O2's have been ruled out already. Read the posts and you shall find out. Sorry to be rude but I am getting stressed out over this and getting my 91+ on the road. As i need it for work and play you know :) :D

Hey,
You said injectors 2 and 3 aren't working. You may have already done this, but if not, try this. Take 2 and 3, and switch them with two other injectors that ARE working (i.e. switch 2 and 4, 3 and 5). Then, do the Cylinder Balance Test. If 2 and 3 are now working, then the fuel injectors are bad. If 2 and 3 are still not working, then it's a problem with the fuel injector wiring harness. Better hope it's not number 2 (so it probably will be!!! Anyways, just a couple more ideas! Hope this helps!

I believe you can have your injectors tested at a shop that diagnosis efi systems. It appears you may have to test the wiring harness as well. I am not sure how the efi system on the sho fires but I know on other vehicles, such as the 3800 gm they fire at the same time. If this is so on the sho engine it may be safe to rule out a computer malfunction. The best way to handel this is to get a schematic and test all injectors from the plug at the computer. There is also a led light that parts stores carry that you plug into the injectors female plug. I think you may have some bad injectors, but more tham none your harness is acting up. I am not a professional but I fix cars all day and I speak from experience that I have never seen an injector just die.One thing I would not do is switch injectors because it wastes time putting the car together and tearing it appart again, otherwise its a good idea.

If you know that the #2 and #3 injectors aren't working, why did you bother troubleshooting the MAF and O2's?? Just curious... Hope you get it fixed soon.

Just a thought, try unplugging your tps sensor and see it it will start or run better. My 94 sho had a missing problem and it just started all of a sudden while i was driving, no warning or anything. It stubled and wouldnt accelerate and then wouldnt start at all. My sho was down for three days while i tried two different sets of plugs, tested fuel pressure, computer, ect ect. I also had a bunch of different codes being thrown at me, not sure if any of them were o2 codes tho. I unplugged the tps and the sho ran fine and no missing and then i threw a new one in and everything was ok again. It may seem like a stupid suggestion because it is so simple but it worked for me and i can see that you are getting really frustrated with this as i was at the time with my sho. Anyway give it a try and good luck!!! :thumb:

Assuming his diagnosis is correct, he doesn't have 2 injectors working.

fixed the sho today well I took the intake off and did a oham test on the injectors and they were all 15 ohams and had 12 volts at every injector.
So you say ok they are good????
Well I grounded all the injectors with key on and all but 2 worked. 2 and 3 injectors did not cycle so they are pluged. I changed them with some new ones from parts store and now I got her going good.
Thanks for all you tips and suggestions guys this forum rocks my SHO down the Highway.

Once again thanks and hope to help someone else in the near future
Oh i got some of those new plugs Ford has been selling for the Sho and they do not fit good the wires stick up 8th of a inch. I'm going to be returning them on Tuesday.
