engine heating quick

i jst noticed that my 94 atx is heating faster than i have ever seen it do. it usually heats up in like 5 mins to the L or A on normal, now its warming up toe the M or R in 3 mins under the same driving conditions. it kinda stays around the R while driving to work, which is 25 mins away, but i dont like it being that high.....is this normal for an SHO?

when is the fan supposed to come on? i havent heard it, but i have some loud music in my car, mmight have to turn it off and see tomorrow. im getting about 20-24mpg, depending on if i do any racing on the weekend....

Sounds like a perfectly operating cooling system.

If in doubt, get an external thermometer and see what the actual operating temperature actually is. The in-dash guage is not a precision instrument by any means.

Sounds normail to me, too. Does the car's temp needle bounce up and down slowly? Does it threaten to overheat? Have you been using the heat less? Has the weather warmed in your area?

every once in a while in town it goes from the M to the N and goes back downto the M, and i think im just paranoid. i dont use the heat anymore, and it went from 45 to 70 in like a 3 days here. im just paranoid cuz this car had alot of probs when i got it (the last owner didnt do much maintenence, all he did was drive), and now anything away from what im used to seeing makes me paranoid.
