I'm looking at putting an engine heater on my SHO next week. I didn't have any trouble last winter with the SHO, but I figure it's probably better for the engine to allow it to warm up before I take off. Starting the engine when the abient air temperature is -20 F for a week straight can't be too good for it.

Anyway, I'm looking at a coolant line heater, like the one here at Schucks. Does anyone have experience with these heaters? Also does anyone happen to know the diameter of the lower radiator hose that these heaters would attatch to?

Just a question that come up to my mind now, does the northern SHO (like Canada and where it snows) have some block heater from the factory ? I know my old GL vulcan had one, but since my car's from USA, I can't really tell if an OEM block heater is aviable.

That's a good question, I hadn't thought of that. My SHO is originally from South Carolina, so it wouldn't have had one.
