Engine coolant sensor

Where is the temp sensor for the fans located on the engine? i have to go to indianapolis tomorrow and need to fix this. thanks a lot.

Near the thermostat i believe.

Both temp sensors are near the thermostat. The two-wire one closer to the thermostat is closer to the firewall (just to the right of the thermostat when looking from drivers side of car). It's a bit of a pain to get to, but it can be done with the intake on. You'll have to take of the intake hose though. IIRC, you'll need a 1", deep-well socket.

changed the sensor and now my cooling fan is shot.
