Engine Bay

How much do you guys think it would cost me to have my engine bay painted somewhere? Do you think they will have to pull the whole engine out or just remove everything mounted on the walls and cover the engine then spray? There are SOOOOO many hoses and things in the back on the engine I am worried its gonna be insanely expensive to have this done. I am doing a complete rebuild at some point but I am gonna have my intake and valve covers powder coated soon and figure if I am gonna dress it up that much and rebuild it and possibly do a stage 4 from teh shoshop I might as well have the paint sparkle in there too.

First I've heard/read of it. Don't know about cost but if your gonna have the engine/tranny out, go for it. Maybe you could save a few bucks by doing the prep work yourself. Ask a few shops for a rough quote.

If they're going to paint your engine bay that will require them to remove your engine and everything under the hood. I'd say it's worth it if you're going to have the engine out for a rebuild. But if not it's going to cost a chunk of change.

Ranges from body shops, but I got a quick estimate about taking everything out and it was $800-$1500 depending on labor etc, but that was a rough esitmate of course.
