Hello, I am finishing up my all new Rear brake work tonight or tomorrow. I am installing new Rotors, Calipers, and Pads. When I started the E-brake cable was not hooked up at all on the driver side, and on the passenger side it is through the hole on the caliper that holds it there. The guy told me not to use the ebrake at all, so now I know why. Anyways, can I put my brakes back together and do the E-brake cables after the fact? I know that on the passenger side I need to cut the end of so I can remove it from the caliper, and exchange the caliper for a new one. I am just not familiar with the process of hooking them back up. I am assuming that I should get new cables.
Any help and or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff
