Electrical Short

Ok, so i just tried to start the SHO and the positive cable at the terminal started to smoke and the wire was STUPID hot, i cranked it 2 times for a combined cranking time of 5 seconds or so. Where could my short be? Im going to go buy a new clamp and see if thats the case because it looks pretty loose and roted!! Thanks

Check for resistance between the terminal and the clamp. Do a voltage drop test to check it. Sounds like high resistance at the very least.

Make/model/year/ etc. would help too.
