Hi, Everyone. Am new to the board.

Just bought a 97 sho about 2 weeks ago and have problems already. The speedometer and tach dont work. The radio and climate control dont work but the front defrost is always on. The rear tailights dont work. I was thinking it was a fuse but checked under the drivers side fuse box and all fuses were fine. Also checked in the engine compartment and fuses were fine. Has anyone had this problem. All of these problems just happened at once. I did replace the alternator and just cant figure it out. Can someone please help.

If you did a little spark when replacing the alternator , you might blew a fuse.

On the GEN2 SHOs you have 2 fuse boxes , one under hood , one near the brake pedal.

I donno if its the same on the GEN3 tho.

Check your radio fuse, I think its a 5 amp one. If it's blown your speedo won't work. I don't know why the tach isn't working though. It's right under the dash, the fuse box that is. I think there are two fuse boxes under the hood. One up front and one beside the battery.

This did happen before the the alternator replacement. I checked the fuses under the dash on the drivers side and none were blown. I checked the front fuse box but didn't really see another fuse box in the engine compartment.

My temp and my fuel gauge work though. The 5amp radio fuse is fine. Could it maybe be the GEM?
