electrical problems or charging problem

I have a 1997 sho with 160,000 miles on it. Ive started having something strange start happening. Several days I been starting the car and it acted like I had a bad battery connection and just made a clicking sound like a bad connection at the battery terminal. When I turned the igintion switch off and back on the car started up with no problem.

Ive noticied that my radio channels sometimes has changed, when I get ready to start the car like the battery had been disconnected.

I have a fairly new battery (1 yr old) and the battery is connected and not loose at the battery terminals.

Once when I strarted the car and turned on the heater when the clutch kicked in the radio station stayed on but I lost sound for a few seconds on the radio.

Any suggections on what it cound be ?

Personally I would start by checking all the conections from battery to starter and the larger fuse box. Take a volt meter and check the battery with car off and with it on. If I remember right voltage should be around 12.5 or 13. I would also check all your fuses and relays. And make sure there's no corrosion anywhere.

I'm sure will chime in as well. Just curious what brand your battery is?

Hey newshofan...thanks for the advise. My battery is good and the Alternator is working correctly. I checked the wiring down to the starter from battery and it looked good. The wiring to the solenoid also looked OK. Im just wondering if it could be the solenoid acting up ? The car hasnt acting up lately. Thanks again for the advise. oh the battery is a battery from Autozone...duralast.
