I have an 92 SHO and just happened to notice that the shop manual shows an EGR valve set up coming off of the rear exhaust manifold and running to the closest corner of the intake.
MY car doesn't have an EGR, that I can find. The passages aren't drilled.
I presume that the shop manual is the illustration for a California Emissions car?
Does anyone have an explaination for this?

MTX SHO's sold originally in California were equipped with EGR as were all ATXs, regardless of where they were sold. 49 State MTXs, regardless of year, did not have EGR.
