Recently i went to autozone. Picked up a code 322 when i had it diagnoced. Which was a egr valve not opening. Now i believe i can take that off the intake manifold and clean the carbon out of it? Is that right or should i just replace it??

Confirm your exact code. You most likely have a 332 code, not a 322 code (no such thing).

Before doing anything else, perform the simple tests in SHOForum EGR Code 332 Troubleshooting

Failure to do so will result in a hit-or-miss diagnosis/repair.
