Or you can just pull the electrical connector to the vacuum motor. IMHO, no gain or loss with disabling the EGR on my car. I don't think it's worth the time to mess with. Disable, maybe lower temperature of your intake manifold. Enable, lowers combustion chamber temperatures. Pick your evils, lol! The reason EGR isn't used on 49 state cars isn't for performance reasons, it's cost. The factory doesn't want to spend money on crap like EGR unless it's forced to. I'm just going to leave mine enabled. Maybe if I switch to a 49 state computer at some point I'll disable it again to do a more in depth comparison.SHOZ123:
If you want to easily disable it pull and plug the vacuum line going to it.
On my V8 it lowered the intake temp 40F in 90F weather at highway speeds.
