Has anyone bought these rotor kits from ebay? Just curious to see if they are like most ebay items [cheap crap that doesn't fit] or if they are actually worth it.

Unless you're looking for the cross drilled and/or slotted, I would not waste my money. for my '96 upgrade on Wilwood calipers, I used Duralast brand rotors at $20 a piece.

well let us know what you end up doing. I like the look and my only criteria it that they perform as well as generic rotors, for me its a visual upgrade but I wouldn't want to take a performance hit just to look good either :thumb:

I just want to get rotors that are less prone to warping. I just had a front brake job done on my SHO in April [for inspection] and I can already feel the front rotors are warped slightly, and it ****** me off. Maybe I'll just save up for the 13" Cobra upgrade instead. Thanks guys.

What kind of pads do you use? I've abused the stock type rotors for years and never had a warping issue. Vibration always came from crap on the wheel or pad buildup on the rotor.

Hot pads.
Cheap rotors!

Ive done a LOT of heavy braking in my '89 with a stock size brakes, ZERO warping. All I run is cheapo Napa rotors ($18 each IIRC) with Hawk HPS pads.

Sweet braking for a street driven SHO.

Im kinda curious to see if Ive gotten the rotors to glow. Ive thought about mounting a cancorder off the fender to watch the action. Multiple 120+ to 60mph brake sessions should be getting them mighty warm

Interestingly though, the Hawk pads seem to grab HARDER as they heat up. :hail:

Stock pads & stock rotors; I take it there's an issue there somewhere that is causing the warping? Or perhaps it might have been the 100+ down to 60 jumps that did them in [did that 3 times on separate occasions].

Hey notsoslow, MMMMMM; clean engine!
