Ok guys i have a ? i'm not to sure on what this means but i have been looking around for a new hardbutton eatc but i see there is always a code on all of them like blue code,green code,or black what do these mean?

Not sure what they all mean, but I just bought one today and it said "black." I have a 93 MTX and the new one came out of a 95 Sable (I assume it was a 95). I works fine in my car. Hope this helps ya. (the sticker had fallen off of the one that I pulled from my car, so I'm not sure what the original was)

I think I heard somewhere that white was bought later from ford... I found a green backlit HARD BUTTON from a 90 or a 91 at a salvage yard. it had a white back, and this makes sense because first gens never had a hard button unit from the factory, and it was green backlit so it wasnt just swapped in from a newer model.
