The vacuum lines that run in the dash attach to the back of the EATC. Question is, is there supposed to be one connection on the back of the EATC that doesn't have a hose attached to it?

On my car the AC/heat works fine however when the heat or AC is turned to panel, floor, etc. and the blower kicks up to a higher speed it closes the vent door and everything goes to the defroster.

There's no clicking or anything from the blend door, it's like it just doesn't have the pressure to keep that vent open because sometimes it stays open fine. It just depends on how much air is blowing out. I can also "trick" the system by putting the fan to the lowest speed, turning it on panel, then put it on defrost. When I turn the air speed back up it stays coming out the vent. :)

It's not the EATC as I have replaced the old one with one from a 95 hard-button unit. I really think it's vacuum related. Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated. :thumb:

i'm not sure as to why it's not working, but i can tell you that there is a connector on the eatc vacume harnes that is empty, i think it's for when the vacume motors are realeasing vac. it draws air it, don't quote me on that but there is a place for another line that is empty, mine is the same.

Yes, one ****** on the connector does not have a hose.

Sounds like weak vacuum supply. Most likely, there is a small crack in the supply line that runs through the firewall.

Check the supply line thoroughly from the intake as far as you can follow it.

Will do Steve.

Michael, both the cheap-o nuts are in place. I don't suppose they were really meant to be reused but they didn't seem to have any issues holding.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see if I can track this thing down.

Have You Tried Checking The Blend Door Actuator. If They Dont Work, The Air Just Blows The Door Around. Hope That Might Help...
