Hey everyone. I'm not sure what keywords to use to pull up an accurate search on this one, so here's my problem. Evidently I had air in my cooling system because my coolant temperature was fluctuating and I was getting no heat from the heater. Well I came across a post instructing to remove the radiator cap, turn the heat on and squeeze the upper radiator hose to remove the air.

Well I got my heat to work after that, but now I have a new problem. The EATC is putting out hot air when I select anywhere from 65-90 degrees on the unit. When I turn it to 60, the hot air stops coming out. I used to love the 69/70 degree setting while driving the car, but now it's either too cold when it's set at 60 (because it's been 30-some degrees here) or it's too hot at 65. Feels like it's generating the same temperature of heat at the 65 and the 90 degree setting even maybe.

This IS a updated EATC, but I'm not sure why it could have suddenly gone bad, Any ideas on my issue???

Thanks guys!!,
Andrew

Blower Control Modual is having some type of issue. Mine went bad on the 90 and on the 95 I just had to remove it and blow gun the thing out. It had collected some dust and dirt and would not switch properly. For reference it located under the glove box if you drop the glove box you can see it has two tubes attached to it and it's held on my 2 8mm hex head screws Kinda a strange angular oval. once it's out remove the black cover and blow the fins of it out.

Hey thanks for the help Dave. I changed out my BCM last year actually because my old one had gotten wet. When it rains hard or if I take my car to a high pressure car wash I'll find water collected on the floor mat on the passenger's side of the car. The few times that's happened with this newer module the thing starts acting up and blowing the fan at full speed. That's not what it's doing now, but I'm sure the few days it sat in the driveway piled with snow the module probably got ruined again as the melted snow dripped down on it.

Have any of you guys come up with a way to prevent the BCM from getting wet? I'm going to take mine out on Sunday and clean it up and hope that that's the problem. That's what sucks about buying used ones though... you never know how long they'll last. But those things are too damn expensive to buy them new. Oh well, I'm ranting. Thanks again!

Gently pry the SHO emblem out of the dash. There is a thermistor right behind it probably coated with gunk. Try cleaning the dirt off and check to see that the return hose isn't blocked.

Next, run the EATC self-diagnostic by simultaneously pressing 'OFF' and 'FLOOR' letting go, then pressing 'AUTO'. When the test has completed press the 'COOL' button. Hopefully for you it isn't the blend door module.
