Has anyone thought trying E85 or a mixture of E85 and gasoline.
I know E85 has a higher octane rating it is like 104 octane. The reason I am asking is that my 94 atx doesn't like regular unleaded in the hotter months. So I thought about trying some E85 since it is about $0.50 cheaper than regular per gallon.

Well you should be running premium if you are having problems. If you are having problems is it because you are running too hot? Might need to see about adding Redline Water Wetter.

You can not run E85, as mentioned it will destroy your fuel system, not to mention the SHO will not be able to make up for the fact that E85 has less energy.

If you want to know what is meant by "destroy your fuel system", think of this: IF (and it's a big 'IF') you were to get it running in a satisfactory mannor, one day, a rubber injector seal, or rubber fuel line will burst and your car will burn to the ground.

It will also eat any and all of the steel parts as well. That is why E85 systems are stainless.

What about a gas that has 10-15 percent ethanol, and comes out at 94 octane. Is it OK to use??

Mohawk in Canada sells this blend.
