I am on my 93 octane tune from ajp pegged at -.96... my my foot is always on the floorboard... with my e20 tune the timing is obviously different, also pegged at -.96 I haven't tried the e20 tune with 93octane yetGot the final word from Anthony and Dan over at LMS this morning on the phone. I am running the 4+x race tune, and they DO recommend running that tune with 109 octane race gas, which is to prevent ANY kind of knock retard on the the timing. They explained that it would be rare to not have some knock with only 93 octane on their race tune.
I explained to them that my OAR is pegged at -.96 and I am not getting ANY knock retard on 93 octane pump gas. And then asked how would adding additional octane help me? The response was "I must have a factory freak because almost everyone see's knock with that tune on just pump gas and if I wasn't seeing knock, then adding octane won't provide any additional power"...
So if you are not seeing knock with that tune, then you don't NEED race gas or E-mixes to get the full potential.
Yea, my AJP tune is faster than my LMS... And I don't get knock with either tune. You can maintain the -.96 OAR while still having some knock retard. Amount of timing doesn't matter in this case because all I am talking about is timing being pulled in general by the knock sensor.I am on my 93 octane tune from ajp pegged at -.96... my my foot is always on the floorboard... with my e20 tune the timing is obviously different, also pegged at -.96 I haven't tried the e20 tune with 93octane yet

It does mean business. I am a good example of that.109 octane ... that race tune means bizness!
