I've been planning on buying the $172 Diehard Platinum for mine when it goes, but I haven't heard anything good or bad about the Duralast Platinum. What's the price on one of those?

not cheap...179.99 plus $15 core charge, which is refundable if you turn yours in.

However, i am using a coupon, and having them adjust it after work.

give it a shot if you want. coupon attached.

I found this posted on a computer tech site, if it helps:

"The Autozone Duralast Platinum AGM battery is made by Johnson Controls, the company that bought Optima".

Sounds a lot like the Diehard Platinum Group 65, which is the same battery as the Odyssey PC1750.

Motorcraft offers a 850 CC amps battery i bought that after my 650 stock one died out. it seemed like a substantial upgrade. I get extremely cold temps in the winter. costs me $110

Yeah I recommend the motorcraft 850 CCA battery. It's fantastic. Offers just as good if not a better warrantly than anywhere else and for a fair price. Cranked my SHO right over in -30 below weather. Yay north Minnesota!

so after a complete pain in the ass (confirmed battery fit 3 times and AZ finally got it that they were giving me a non turbo battery) the new battery is in. But now I have static on my radio...works but enough to be noticeable and annoying.

Any thoughts?
