How hard would it be to put a gen 4 sho engine in a gen 1/2 body?

I just got a gen 4 for parts (driver door was SMASHED) and have no idea what to do with the engine or driveline
And I have a couple gen 1's and 2's with either no engine or blown engines
So.... why not put that gen 4 engine in one of my other cars?

It will be a challenge on many fronts, but size will be the first one.

I guess I'll first take a couple measurements and see if it'd even fit

If not, then I'll just keep it for a spare when my gen 4 bites the dust

Its doable, engine is wide with turbos on the manifolds. Just gotta do some work. Maybe cut back into the firewall or just go to a single turbo setup. Or move both turbos. I have a spare K frame since they crack i hear. Its come across my mind many times that it looks big enough to mount an ecoboost

If youre planning on incorporating all of the driveline from a 4th gen it would be awesome but by no means a bolt in and while size is a consideration i dont think its the biggest issue. there would be a lot of fabrication and modifications to the front and rear sub frames to accommodate the awd especially in the back, probably custom axles, control arms, and struts since overall width will be less, strut towers will be different and axles will need to be shortened up, wiring for engine management systems, fuel system integration, all lines will be different. its a task, im all for madmax / roadkill builds, build em and thrash em, but to mesh these two together being a different size car and completely different platform i think it would be way more involved than anyone could hope for. short of cutting the floor out of the older gen and cutting the body off the 4th gen i think it would be easier to build a buggy out of the 4th gen (see Vette Cart) than to try and make it into a super sleeper. all of that said definitely not impossible, and would be absolutely sick to sleeper a sleeper, if youre up to the task I say do it, below i've included a list of recommended tools that might help.
