Like it may not fix it.

Haven't seen that module fix that code

Well, I asked the service adviser what would happen if that didn't fix it and he said he'd have to meet with his boss and figure that out then.

So...... it was not the ABS module :( The good news is they aren't going to charge me for that, and Ford has agreed to pay 80% parts/labor for whatever it ends up being. Next thing they are going to try is the R something, something module. Said they drove it for 2 1/2 hours today and when removing the fuses for this module, the select trac error never occurred. If that's not it, steering rack is next. What a mess.

Well, that wasn't it. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever get the car back and in working order.

No part, or part did not fix?

The new module did not fix the problem. It's getting beyond ridiculous at this point. I'm trying to maintain my composure with the dealership, since I know they are trying, but, seriously, WTF? It's closing in on two weeks now.

Did they already call in Ford Engineering, because that's the next step since the dealership seemingly has no clue at this point.

Yes. They were the ones who suggested the ABS module. When that didn't work, they then suggested the RCM (I think), which also did not resolve the issue. It's to the point that I might consider asking for some trade-in allowance and just get a new car.

ABS module? Nope. RCM? Negative. Steering rack? I guess we'll see in a couple more days. This is getting OLD :(

Its kind of ironic actually, No matter how much cars change and how many computers they have, Sometimes it still comes down to throwing parts at it and hoping for the best. I used to think dealerships where the place to go to find the best mechanics until I spent $2000 to get a miss out of my old truck, it didn't make it a mile down the road before it started missing again. Just the other day I asked a dealership "How much to service the PTU" They had no idea what I was talking about, used to be people took pride in working for a dealership. Oh well Good Luck Brother, I hope you get your car soon.
