You can find out in about 20 minutees by popping the door panel, removing the motor and applying 12v battery power to it. If the motor turns, make sure the glass goes up and down smoothly. If it does, you have a switch or wireing problem.

Many times the problem you are having can be "fixed" by cleaning the contacts on the bottom of the button assembly. You can take a flathead screwdriver to carefully separate the wiring portion from the button assembly.

While you have it open you can do as Tom suggests to check the motor as well as re-lubricating the moving parts inside the door panel. I think you'll be surprised at how much dust gets inside the door and caught up in the goop they put on there from the factory. Combine all the crudded up goop with the age of the motor and dirty contacts and it's not surprising at all that they eventually stop moving up and down.

The way I check mine is pull the door panel, take a DMM and test to see if it gets 12 volts at the motor when a window switch is pressed; if it does, then its a bad motor, if not look into the switches:cool:
