drive in heat stalls and dies...

I done drop in rebuilt motor and tranny, It runs great! and I been driving it around more and more. I need to go place that is about 20 mile from here. It's very warm day today hovering 90 degree and I drove up to the place and sat in traffic with coolant temp between O AND R on "NORMAL" sho stalls and dies, will start but only to die AGAIN when put in drive so I parked into shade for about half hr. coolant wasn't boiling or anything let alone no CE light eventho' while I let it sit, check the koeo shows 111 then half hr it started right up and checked koer show no codes.. that baffles me and yes I searched the forum yet to find similar problem with others? I suspect vapor lock or bad fuel pump etc?

Heat could affect something like the the DIS module.

I had a similar problem. Died on hot days and would sputter when you tried to start it. About 30 minutes later it would start. Turned out to be the fuel pump shutting down. Absolutely no problems after replacing the fuel pump.

That could be your problem. There are other possibilities.
