Well, I have just ordered a bottle heater and some more jets for my track cars Nitrous kit.

My PB for the car on the bottle was...

60' - 2.16
1/8 ET - 8.92
1/8 MPH - 81.80
1/4 ET - 13.67
1/4 MPH - 103.45

This was on only a 55 Shot on a 85 Degree Day with 90% Humidity.

This weekend, I plan to run on a 75 shot. It will be about 50 degrees with humidity being at 40%.

I'm hoping to do at least a 13.2@106 MPH. But we'll see what happens.

What do you think?

Do you have a bottle pressure gauge? When it was cold out, my bottle lost almost 200 psi and definitely hurt performance. I dyno'd 265 with about 400psi. I know that if you can get it to around 900, you should hit that time. Be careful, cold temps and more power means less traction.

If you want to drive all the way up here, ill let you borrow my DR's.

Hence, I bought the bottle heater. The ZEX heater has a built in thermastat that will automatically turn the heater off and on to keep the bottle at optimum temp. I'll get a gauge sometime down the road. I've decided against running DR's. I'm going to set records on street tires. :naughty:

I'm thinking that you will be ****** off wondering where your traction went when you turn a slower ET with a higher trap speed!!

Normaly, I would worry, but if you saw how I launch my car I think you would understand my lack of concern. I literaly launch off Idle then mash the gas, Spraying in 1st gear. With the Gen III Subframe it's so smooth and planted that the car just glides up to 3500 RPM where the NAWS then kicks in. It's one of the few situations that I have been able to exploit my cars lack of low end for something good!

FWIW I think Mark N ran 12.9 on street tires with nitrous. I doubt you will drop 7 tenths with a jet change and bottle heater.

Ill be getting some sort of limited slip soon. Once that happens, Ill be getting some one to either sit on the trunk or push on the front bumper to get a proper burnout, and launch the crap out of it.

Care to make a small wager?

But I disagree sir. Here is why.

On the day of the 13.6@103 run, The car only managed a mid 14 with a 96 MPH trap N/A. How is it that a mere 55 shot dropped my ET by nearly a second and raised my MPH by 7 MPH? Easy, Heat soak! the NAWZ got the car cooled down enough to turn some numbers. This car runs like an absolute disaster when it gets real humid outside. I am 100% Convinced that this car could run low 13's on Just the 55 shot with the lower temps outside. I may have to prove that this weekend if my new Jets don't get here in time.

I see what you're saying. I dont agree, but I understand youre reasoning. Its all speculation until it happens though :)

How about the person with the lowest e/t holds the trophy. I have 5 billion trophies from bmx racing that I can have modified for it. Who should we include?

Seems like fun.

Does the car hook that good in 1st with spray?

Have you ever tried launching higher yet?

Or maybe launching higher and spraying later(in 1st)?

There is only about 5 of us who actively drag race our V6's, So it should not be hard to narrow down.

We'll see what happens, I think you'll be suprised. :)

The car hooks VERY well, There is hardly any spinning with the way I launch it. The tires and subframe help tremendously. I don't thing it gets much better then a 2.1 60' when your spraying in 1st, so I'll keep launching how I normally do. :)

In order to maximize the likelyhood of reaching your goal, I would suggest that you keep an eye on the weather and aim for a hot sunny day that's expected to retire into a cool evening so that you get cool air and a warm track.

Oh it gets better than 2.1, you just need drag radials or slicks.

No doubt, but I want to be able to reach my goals on street tires. Remember, Nik's Turbo car acheived a 2.0 60' on Nitto NT555 Extreme tires (The street ZR tires, Not the DR's).

Also, This weekend is not looking good as none of my parts have shipped, I still may go. I'll keep everyone updated.

No rain, Just cold in the mornings. If I don't receive any of my parts today, I may not go. Also, The guys who fill my Tank say they are completely out and don't know if they'll be able to get more NAWZ this weekend.
