This may have been asked before but I can't seem to find it....Should you be in drive or sport on the trans....I understand on the tires 26psi up front, 28psi out back, turn off traction control, launch at 2000 rpm tuned, 2500 rpm stock...does this sound about right?.....Rich

I run in Sport with traction control completely off. I have read that it doesn't make much of a difference because your on the floor all the way down the track.

I would avoid trying to use the paddles, Sport shifts either way.

The traction control makes a difference.

I had much better times launching at 2000rpm, at 2500 there is actually wheel spin.

That is a interesting question. Why Roll race a AWD?

I would suspect that the middle of 2nd gear or around 2500-3000rpm where torque is at its highest.

Stock, you can try launching between 2200 and 2500 rpm. Tuned, more than likely 2000 or just below is your best bet.

Brake boost!!!
I've done a few rolls...
Paddle into 2nd gear, get slightly on the brake and full throttle around 40 MPH. Three honks of the horn come off the brake and get instantly planted in your seat:boink:
Haven't tried this technique, may give it a go next time out on Woodward where all anyone wants to do is roll race. It'll be tough for it to do better than the ecu dropping car to 1st and screaming off though I think.

I thought the same thing...
But this way as soon as you dump the brake pedal you are at full boost and mid power band

I come up to the line in 'D', powerbrake to about 2200. When the last yellow light comes on, I floor the gas, sidestep the brake, and wait for the finish line. 13.7-13.8 ET every time in 58 to 64 degree temperatures. Fun, even when your old.
