My touch keypad on the door does not work. It's probably because I do not know the code, and did not get it from the old owner. He just told me that it didn't work, but I think it might.
Are these things prone to fail or otherwise, is there a way to reset the code?

The code should be on the reciever in the trunk, on the drivers side behind the cardboard cover, next to the amps. mine is orange. Should be 5 digit.

Check the trunklid - the code is usually on a little white sticker on the inside left of the lid.

If not, use the search tool either here or at www.shotimes.com. I forget which site I read it on but there's a way you can read the code if the sticker is gone by looking at the servo for it in the trunk maybe?

You can open the keyless module up and find out what the code is from that if you cant find any of the stickers. There are 3 stickers, one on the trunk lid (sometimes on the support arm sometimes on the lid itself you just have to look for it), one on the keyless module, and one on the ECU. You can also change the code, Shotimes.com has instructions on how to do it.
