How do i take off the interior door panel to replace the door speakers on a 1990 gen 1? (preferably without breaking anything) If anyone has done this please give me a heads up of what to look out for. Oh by the way, what speaker size is inside the gen 1 door? half the people tell me 6 1/2" the other half tell me 5 1/4 " who am i supposed to believe?

Contact Mac Tool or Snap On tool, get the tool designed to pop the "mushroom" fasteners.
First remove all screws, then use the tool to pry the panel off the mushroom fasteners. Buy a dozen new fasteners cause they break easily.
Pretty easy job, actually.
