I still can't give the official word yet, but Michelle is now back from her field course and talked with a grad advisor at U of M today. It was a VERY promising discussion and it would take some huge catastrophe to prevent us from moving back at this point. Look for the official word later this week

If you're looking for affordable stuff, you'll need to go south or west from AA. It's still rural there, and only a few minutes away. Heck, even Toledo is only 45 mins from AA.

We are definitely looking more rural. Living right in AA would be expensive, and we both like our peace & quiet. As long as we can be 20-30 minutes from U of M then we'll be happy.

Northville still is nice... if you go north, brighton... howell... flowerville... south lyon... Heartland....
all nice rural and pending- 20-40 mins away
BTW- i 96 is horrid and has soooo much rushhour traffic during 8 a.m.m and 3 -5 p.m.
trust me... stay north- traffic is horrid and you can waste 20 minutes just sitting in traffic.

I'm originally from Pinckney... technically I lived right between Howell & Pinckney. In fact, I think I can still remember the "back way" to AA, winding down M-36. That's the area I'm looking into, but most rental prices in Livingston county are $$$$. Not sure if it's cheaper on the south side of AA.

Oh what I would give for my childhood home. Schaffer Rd, about 20 minutes from UM. 10 acres, big barn for car repairs, *sigh*. Who says you can't go home again?

my buddy has a cottage in **** michigan on a lake... i forgot what its called but it connects to like 7 lakes? half-moon... some others- i used to party in that area often and get lost with my buds when we stayed out that way... i miss it down there... BUT AGAIN I LOVE MY NEW HOUSE!
