A while back i remember seeing a post on how to reinforce SHO engine mounts by installing a larger travel limit bolt and then filling with urethane. I have been searching for an hour now and still can't find the thread or any website. I'm on my 3rd set of mounts.

I have modified my mounts this way and be forewarned that this is a very stiff mount; overly stiff for a street car IMHO. But perfect for a track car. If I were doing it again for my street car, I would follow the instructions except use longer bolts through the rubber portion and cushion the head of those two bolts with sway bar end link bushings and washers. Then skip filling with urethane.

This is how I did mine - it just reduces the total amount of travel possible, but doesn't stiffen it for small motion:

I did my own solid front motor mount a few month back and i love it! it does take alittle getting used too because there is less give and more vibration, but now I honestly don't even notice it! i feel that there is more power going to the ground and less lost through movement... btw i just replaced the main travel pin with a bolt and drilled two holes through each rubber and walaaa!

When i did mine the bolt had actually broke. I didnt have a spare, so i took a piece of 1x1 square tubing and welded it in place of the bolt as tight to the rubber as i could get it.
