code 219 SPOUT circuit failure, timing defaulted to 10 degrees
Checked for shorts and ground issues using flow chart from powertrain control manual all checked good. Points to DIS. Changed DIS car wont start sputters and back fires through intake, and codes are gone. Cleaned mounting points for grounds. Same result. Put old one on it starts. Suspicious of bad DIS from AutoZone. Went over to my 93 mtx runs and drives fine no issues. Borrowed DIS same result. Put AutoZone DIS on ATX ran fine. Had spare xj2 computer tried it same results. When I was switching DIS modules I swapped out the whole intake piece. So I don't have to put paste on every time. So I'm now stumped. Any Ideas.
