Dimmer - Done

My 90 SHO has a dimmer that is effectively done. The only instrument panel lights I can get is when I move it to the "interior light on" position, or just a fraction ahead of it, at the top of the wheel. If I take this part out, can it be fixed with something from Radio Shack? Does another model have similar parts that I can adapt? I never move this thing and I would settle for medium and high settings if that makes it easier to fix.

I doubt you'll find anything from RS that will work. You need to simply replace the dimmer. I'm sure somebody has one around here that's for sale.

Do regular taurus' have the same dimmer setup?...mine is shot too.

I'm pretty sure they do - at least the dimmer **** itself. If you grab a whole panel from a SLO it probably won't come with the autolamp portion, but the dimmer **** assembly can be removed from that front faceplate.
