Hello guys for anyone that has done this I need help. I am converting the analog cluster over to the digital cluster in my 91 SHO. I have got most of it installed but I have some problems they are...

1: Speedometer not registering
I have the proper wire hooked in but still no speed is registering. The only thing I could think of is the wire I used to extend over to the cluster is of a bigger gauge could this cause a problem?

2: Fuel computer is not fully functioning
Only miles to empty, fuel remaining and the actual gauge itself seems to be working

3: The trip meter is also not functioning

The tachometer works as does the system scanner just the speed and fuel readouts seem to not register

Sorry this should be in cosmetic mods if a mod could move it there thanks

I also found another plug not connected to anything laying somewhat next to the speedo hookup on the trans

Do I need the plug/connector off the donar car off its trans?

I did this project! Actually did a super major project, swap in entire sho into an 88 wagon. I did the wiring for the digital dash when the dash was out sitting on the donor sho. Project came out great. I have an actual gen1 sho wagon with digital dash. When I did it, of course swapped in a digital dash. Heres some related pictures.

[Did you install the correct wire into the ecu for the fuel computer. the The vss wire should be the right one, just tap into it and run to dig speedo.]

I know this is a zombie thread, but I can't find Jelloslugs' write up on this and how to find out which speedos have the top speed > 85. Any links laying around for that?

Wow, that write up is amazing. I can't imagine how long it took you to figure out that stuff for the first time.

Now I just got to find me a donor car, as I now have a summer project!

The most important thing is to get all the other little bits that go with the cluster.

I got lucky. Found a JY with three SHOs and a 92 Sable with a digital cluster as a bonus! I have to check the PDF for the assorted other stuff I'll need. I'm stoked.

The hardest part to find is the correct Taurus dash bezel.

I'd love to get this done at some point. But I'll take my time and be patient about finding a cluster. Props to you and the others getting this done.
