doug lewis swears up and down that the machining and drilling is stronger then regualar diff welding. what does everyone think?
I would go with the $500 maching & drilling. FWIW, Doug Lewis is a great guy. I've known him for at least about 15 years. He has modified and blown up about every part on Gen 1-3 SHOs. I would trust him for what works.
Plus, IMO that's a damn good price for a tranny R&R and the job. As others have said, the LSD options are a LOT more expensive, and IMO for your use, they are overkill.

i actually do have pics. he had a good fifteen shos and said yesterday is when he had a turbo sho with him. his wife drives a moonlight blue gen 2 with alsfb, subframe connectors, kyb's on stock springs with 3/4 coil cut. funny thing is i said are you happy with the kyb and he said it handles awesome. i said iv heard kyb gr2 are garbage. he said where did i here that? i said sho forum. he said go figure. haha:laugh_ti::laugh_ti:... anyway it was awesome i had so much fun and makes me wanna be more involved in the sho community (meets) etc..... iv never seen so many shos in one place
