*dies again*

more bad news with my '89...last month, I changed my camshaft sensor, and it started runing right, then 2 days later, the Alternator went out...changed that, and 3 days later it runs just like it was before changing the camshaft sensor! naturally, now I assume that it's my Crankshaft sensor...(waay too much **** over a freaking week!) well...anyway...I continue to drive it for short distances (to the store or whatever) so as to not let the engine get too warm (and stall me for hours)...I'm tired of fixing this car, only for it to not work two days later!

and that's my excuse for driving it like that for a little less than a month...

last night, it wouldn't start...it doesn't even try to start (starter is running) so today, I first put in gas (last night there was no fuel in the rails, so I assume it lack of fuel first) no go...there's fuel in the rails now...so now, to my second idea...the Crankshaft sensor is done (for good, now) does it ever just stop working completly? or just stall when the engine warms? I checked the red wire going into the coilpack, and there is fire....

I'm going to change this crank sensor and see where it goes from there (I *really* don't want to go through that) and if it runs, I'm selling it...think there's anything else that I should look into?

Where in texas are you? If all its doing is turning over and over try holding the gas pedal to the floor while attempting to start it. If youve already done that id guess you got a bad crank sensor from the store or possibly your cam position sensor isnt working right. back when i had my 93 it had a hot start problem and it was the cam sensor at fault. Have you checked your codes? If its a failing sensor then checking codes should reflect that. How much are you wanting to sell it for? If i can round up the money id consider it and id donate some money to the forum for bringing us together on that. All of that is riding on if your pretty close to me or not. It sounds like to me it just needs some tender loving care and i dont blame ya for getting tired of it. I cant promise ya a hug though

I agree with karson, check the codes first....
i know how much of a pain these cars can be.... and they may not be for everyone...

i say if its something simple, just change it out.. then go from there... if you dont want to get into it... then well i guess selling it is the only way to go...

Haha well i wont fight ya for it if you want it then I was going to fix it and put greenbeans suspension on it and make it my daily driver but i wont fight ya for it

lol yea uve got a point. What i meant by greenbeans suspension is that ive still all its stock stuff which was still good and only a few months old when it was removed for the tokico install. It rode like a lincoln with that stuff and since bandit rides so rough now id put the beans stuff on another car to be a daily driver.

Anyhow i think weve hijacked enough hehe.

I'll check the codes tomorrow (today) I've been busy at work all day today. I'd let her go for $800 and put that to a down payment on something else (kinda don't want to let it go though, because there's a lot of parts under warranty) I live in Ft Worth, bTW

I dont blame ya for wanting to sell it if youve invested a ton of money. My suggestion would be to fix whatever problems it has and just keep driving it. A month ago my 89(pic in sig up in the first reply) was about to go to the junk yard thanks to my sister and previous owners but ive invested about 3 grand into it in the last month and did all the work myself and my car is now a very reliable clean comfortable car. It just takes some time and patience. I wont ever sell this car like i did my 93 though because i learned a lesson with it but also because for the money i could never duplicate the fun and comfort level this car has. Insurance is cheap, its fast, and gets good gas mileage. Even with new cars out these days im hard pressed to find something that could keep me as happy. Besides that i dont want a car payment again.
