Sounds almost impossible but I have pulled nearly all the carpet out of the trunk and ran my hand inside the fenderwell by the intertia switch and climbed into back of car searching for that 2 wire plug...

cant find it anywhere....

I am not sure if the car even has the remote module that is supposed to be in the trunk behind the seat...

can someone tell me where exactly the module is in case mine has been removed...???

I found a 4 wire plug but thats not it.....could that be a plug to the remote module? there was another multi-wire plug but it looked like it went to the stereo...

I did the pin jump thing on my Mustang so the procedure is not new to me , but I cant find this plug to save my life..

I have read over 2 different procedures many times but the plug seems to be not there at all....

I am starting to think the module is not installed .....is the plug I need to short installed directly into the module? I dont know if i have a module and cant find a plug...

my car is a 95
Help!!...

Does your car have the keypad on the door? If so it has it. My 93 ATX did NOT have keyless entry, so yes they did make them without it.

My 94 doesn't have key-less entry. I tried to install a trunk release solenoid from another SHO, but the wiring isn't there for it. So I just bagged it.

Keyless remote

I too have a 93ATX with out remote module! Did same routine went crazy looking for it. I was going to get one off a U- pull- it but figured wireing wasn't worth hassle.

I am talking about the getting my remote fob programmed.....not the pad on the door...I dont have the door pad...

Now there is a little black box on the left side of trunk attached to the back of the seat close to the speaker but not on the rear deck...

if someone could get a pic of it I could see if I have one or where it goes and then I could get one if I dont have one....

Also need to know if the plug that I am supposed jump is connected to the module directly...if thats the case both the plug and the module may not be installed...

can I just install a new module and harness and go from there or is there some other carp I need? if I do then its just not worth it....

But first I need to see this module to know if I have one at all to begin with..

thanks for all the help, I cant believe they would install automatic lights and automatic climate control and everything else BUT NOT A KEYLESS ENTRY ...??

that should have been in all the SHO cars at least...I know its a Taurus but still ........options should have been sunroof or no sunroof and maybe rear spoiler ..thats it....rest should have been standard...

There's your problem...

If the car doesnt have the keypad then its not going to have the RKEM (remote keyless entry module)

93+ cars have the option of getting RKE, if they allready have KE (keyless entry).

Its not worth the hassle if your car dose not have KE to begin with. Its tied in to pretty much everything.. :nut: :bonk:

Here's the *remote* keyless entry box on my '93. It's hidden by that red thing in there, all the way to the left side.

Dsc04220

It has three connectors running to it. The plain keyless entry boxes have two, and the ones without any sort of keyless still have a relay box, it has one connector.

I recognize that box...I got one but it must just be a relay as I think it had only one connector going to it.....

This is so stupid...should have not even been an option...keyless remote entry should be on all cars since 93...oh well....

If you have box control fobs are always on Ebay @ aprox $25. Most will have programing instructions. Instruction are also on SHOTimes.
