My neighbor has a new Honda that has body moldings like our cars do and she installed some plastic mud flaps that go with the molding real nice almost would think it came with the car.

I would think you can find some that would work and look nice.

Many will right away think of those huge mud flaps you see on old trucks but these have come a long way.

I put some on the 89 SHO I had...liked the appearance alot and kept dirt off of my front windows. Especially in the winter when accelerating in a turn. :thumb:

There are mudflaps with the Taurus logo available from most dealerships. My parents had them installed on the 89 when they purchased it new. I've since removed them as it only sees concrete driving. City driving is much different than rural driving. The dealer mudflaps were quite small but were very effective on the gravel roads and such in mid-Missouri.

I don't think they ever came from the factory with them, but i'm sure dealerships installed them at their leisure. I have seen some pretty nice ones, but never any really great ones on the Taurus.... Good luck!

if you don't want to go the totally obnoxious route of the typical mudflaps, why don't you look into those clear sheets of plastic that you can but along your rocker panels and lower doors that act as a buffer. I have seen them on some cars, and depending on the color your using it on it blends better than others

i saw some at pep boys with the ford blue oval at the bottom

I've had some of those for years that I was gonna put on my 91 Crown Victoria when I had it. Never got around to it. Thought about throwing it on the SHO a few times, but never do because I don't think it will look good. But steevil's don't look bad IMHO.
