It's not right, but it's a great fluid for the MTX.

Rod bearings fail. This means the crankshaft & connrod are toast & needs to be reworked. Basically the engine is not worth fixing. If you put new bearing inserts in without reworking the crankshaft & connecting rod the engine will fail again. 100% guarantee.

From my understanding, if the rod bearings are worn, the crank should be fine. The bearing is a softer metal and will not scratch up the crank or rod. The only thing that can go wrong is if the bearing completely wears away and the rod eats on the crank, or if the crank gets out of spec.

The rod bearings turned to knocking right after an oil change when it did'nt knock before, as explained. The bearing insert has likely spun. If so rod & crank.
