No, you will need to modify the harness. 89-93 MTX had 90 amp alts, 93-95 ATX had120 amp units. this is for 94 95 MTX only.

Its easier on an MTX to swap one in.. but IDK about the ATX.. also, if you rebuild your alt you can get higher capacity diodes and crank up the amps that way IIRC..

How does the wiring harness on a larger alternator differ from that of the 90 amp 1993 alternator? The only thing different is the amps, the voltage is the same. Maybe the higher amps would need thicker wire. Otherwise I would think they would be the same and swappable.

Is this alternator the same physical size and the same externally, with the same type of plugs for connection as the 90 amp alternator that is in the 1993 SHO?
