I've been sitting on this for a while but it finally happened and the headgasket blew on my daily. Decided it would be best to just do a full rebuild and get rid of any of the issues I've been having prior to this.

Anyone know some good rebuild kits or other parts I could add to improve Reliability/Ease of repair.

I was looking into ARP Bolts and will probably go to superior machining since they did wonders for my dads trucks.

Any help is well appreciated.

Ive built 3 engines so far and you really need a goal before you start. It sucks to change the goal halfway through as i did before.
Stock+, like better than stock for daily.
Or a build to break the tranny, there is much more then hey i wanna rebuild an engine what should i get.
Im meaning this in the nicest way possible, not trying to come out like a dick

yaycandy,

don't worry you don't come off badly. I should've said that in the above post but the goal for this is to be Stock+ just improve the reliability from factory with stock performance so it'll hopefully not have issues for a while. For now shes a daily driver so no need to hit the high horses.

Just wanted to see if anyone had kits they had good luck with in terms of reliability

Kind of surprised to hear of a head gasket failure on this engine. Did it overheat first? If it was me I'd go with a low mileage stock replacement and if it doesn't have it already, install an oil cooler, and run full synthetic/change the oil every 5k. As far as I know, the weak spots on this engine with stock power are the water pump failure issue and running extended oil change intervals. Not much you can do about the water pump except change it every 100k as preventive maintenance.
