I've been looking for a unique engine to throw on a stand and tinker with in my spare time and decided on a SHO V8. No idea what I'll throw it in when I'm done with it but a small displacement V8 with Ford/Yamaha DNA sounds like a fun project. That being said, has anyone ever done anything interesting with this engine? I would appreciate any links to projects/builds. Also, any leads on one for sale would be appreciated as well.

I'll probably make a similar post in the classifieds to increase my chances

Welcome, yes in the intro area you will get the least replies, head down to the V8 section and ask under "Discussion".

I would only be wary with low production engines due to probability of obsolete parts to keep them running. This is the lowest production engine I can think of for Ford in the last 25 or so years. Might be one I'm missing but it is really low.
