dechroming- opinions

i'm in the process of dechroming my blue 92 and have a question.
i'm painting all the trim black and it looks great but what do you think i should do with the power antenna?
i just get this picture in my head of it looking weird in black.
has anyone painted theirs? and if so, what works? what doesnt?

Are you wanting to paint the mast. Or just the base. If it is the mast, I would not. I think that the clearance of the different sections are so close, that paint my just scrape back off when the antenna retracts. For the base, I guess just use the same stuff that you used on the door sections.

I've always wanted to paint mine. It'll work too, my antenna doesn't retract.

i wasn't going to worry about the mast, just the base.
i just thought a black base may look rather funny.

Paint the base black and get one of the black "euro" antennas. Some Mustangs also had black fixed antennas.

have you considered shaving the antenna and replacing it with an interior one?
