Hey Guys,
Once again, my car is acting up. I dont know whats going on. I just got the thing back on the road after the wheel went. KNow i know i have to replace the Radiator. But... Things have been happening. Right WHere the belts are.... its making a loud noise. LIke if a chain is rubbing against something. Kinda behind the belts. Its ALways doing that. Mechanic said to wait, cause it hasnt been on in a while. ... Well that should be gone by now. And .. my best friends says i just have the Belts on too tight? Got me.
Also.. last nite and into today. I went out. I stopped my car... and although my Reserve is near empty.... I stopped at my friends house.. and back home.. WHen i goto the friends house.. After let her warm in a lil (battery died).... i stopped.. and a splash of hot water cam pooring out and steamed on the floor..
i was confused. let it be.. got home. Happened again. Not so much this time. But the Steam did rise fromt he hood. And after i opened it.. i could here a boiling or bubbling ontop of the block. it sounded like it came from the passenger side of the engine, that im sure of. But i couldnt find the spot. It sound like it was behind the ButterFlys. Im Really unsure of what to do or think.

Oh yeah, And i dont smell any Anti Freeze from the exhaust. ALtho the exhaust does smell like deep rich oil. I should give it an oil change.

Could you guys please help me out. Im afraid of getting stuck. I have to get this thing working. I ahve plans on driving like 500miles a month easy.

Sounds like your water pump bearings are on their death bed. Use an extention or dowel to pin point the noise. Just be careful working around the belts. What year is it? ATX/MTX?

You might as well buy a new timing belt also - because you have to take it off to do the water pump anyway. Make sure you buy the fel-pro gasket set along with the water pump....it has a higher quality gasket and O-rings you need that the water pump doesn't come with.
