I bought my '95 last week and the clock on the dash doesn't work. I've done a search and several old posts came up, but none of them has a resolution...they all just ended. Is it safe to assume I need to replace my clock, or is there a fix? There is no activity on the clock at all...it's completely black. I pulled it out of the dash the other day and check the wiring..I did get 12volts on one of the wires in the harness.

Thanks for any info...

You could try replacing the clock. I would check a junk yard. I believe the 94-95s have a vacuum florescent display as apposed to the backlit LCD clock used in previous years. So a burnt out light could not be it. Working in the electronics field, I know that sometimes with vacuum florescent displays, they slowly loose their ability to light. Overtime the gases escape/breakdown, and the display gets dimmer and dimmer. If the display is black, like it has a carbon coating. For some reason it recieved too much voltage. I would just pull one from a junk yard. Good luck...

Thanks for the info guys. I put the head unit out of my contour in it for now (still works the cd player, etc) but it has a clock. It just freakin drives me crazy to not have a clock LOL.

I'll check the salvage yards.

Got a clock today at a salvage yard ($4)...fixed it. Works perfectly...the dealer wanted $48 for the freakin thing. Now I can put my other head unit back in that matched my dash lights :)

Thanks for the help guys.
