I can't find an answer on this anywhere so sorry for the dumb question. When datalogging with a Livewire TS+ do you have to use a Micro SD card or can you hook up a laptop via USB or use a USB stick with an adapter cord?

you can just log it on the laptop. you need to get out of gauge mode on the livewire and onto the main screen for it to communicate with the laptop. open livelink with usb to livewire and hit connect, hit comm with car, load config file and hit start a data log. when done hit stop and save as.

You can definitely use a laptop, and you should have been sent a config file from your tuner, you download Livelink II and open you data log config file, should be good to go. I always used my laptop.

I use laptop too, on the livewire you can only do one log at a time without downloading on to the computer. since I send off my laptop it just save time in the long run and i can do as many log as needed in one shot.

I couldn’t get my X4 to successfully load my config file from Brad, so I just use the laptop. I’ve got the LiveWire TS now, won’t be able to try it out until I get a working car….but I’ll likely always use the laptop. I like to datalog and pull off the road and view the results before I go home. If the log looks good, maybe do a Dragy pull too. Then send Brad the log with a valid dragy pull, plus a video! Lol

Didn't even know you could put a micro sd card in them. I just plug it into odb port and log it on device.

Honestly don't recall there being a micro SD slot on them haha. We just have our customers load the config file to the handheld, datalog, then download to a laptop and email it to us.

The HPTuners nGauge ran solely off a microSD and honestly it was more annoying than it's worth because if you left the SD card in your laptop the gauge was dead in the water without it.
